Composition, music theory and philosophy, jazz guitar.

I am a composer, theorist and guitarist, living in New York City. For the past decade I have been pursuing a wide variety of musical interests: composition, contemporary music, jazz guitar, philosophy and critical theory, free improvisation, music analysis, and music theory. I completed my doctorate at UC Berkeley and, for the next year, I will be completing a fellowship in the Department of Music at Columbia University. The days are spent composing, writing, teaching and performing.

The writings page has a list of current publications, and PDF versions of my analytical and aesthetic essays. It also details my current research.
